YoungThoughts.Org was created in the run up to last year’s General Election to give young people a voice. A voice we hoped would help dispel the negative stereotypes too often associated with our generation.
So far we haven’t been bad at doing this but, like all things, we can and must do better. In particular, YoungThoughts needs to make sure it can fulfil one of its ultimate goals and that is to make sure ANY young person with something to say has the opportunity to do so!
As you can see from our latest promotional video, YoungThoughts has successfully made its way across the globe. Josh describes how he’s enjoyed being able to connect with his peers despite being in Australia. He not the only YoungThoughts reader to have enjoyed this globally and he certainly won’t be the last and for us this makes it all worthwhile.
Like most of our readers and contributors however Josh is a student. This in no way detracts from what has been written about however it does, through no fault of anyone involved, limit the number of perspectives that can be considered.
It is with this in mind that we are publishing this article. It is our promise to you that we will do our upmost to ensure that the widest range of perspectives are offered on our website and that it is as easy as possible for any young person – whatever their background – to make their voice heard.
If you, or someone you know, have something to say then please visit our Contribute page. Providing what you have to say is within one of the websites five categories – Politics, Current Affairs, Health & Lifestyle, Culture, and Music, – and is well referenced we will do our best to publish whatever we recieve without editing the content in anyway.
